Thank you for liking the official Get Moving Tasmania Facebook page. We’re glad you’re here.

Get Moving Tasmania is provided by the Tasmanian Government to encourage and inspire Tasmanians to get moving through the provision of tips, ideas and sharing inspiring stories. Move more, sit less - every bit counts!

The Tasmanian Government is committed to making Tasmania the healthiest state in Australia by 2025. Supporting Tasmanians to experience and enjoy the many benefits of regular physical activity is central to achieving this goal.

The Premier’s Physical Activity Council (PPAC) was established in 2001 to address physical inactivity in Tasmania.

Resourced through Communities, Sport and Recreation (CSR), PPAC facilitates a coordinated, cross-sector and collaborative response to increasing and improving opportunities for physical activity in Tasmania. This is done in accordance with the vision and goals outlined in Tasmania’s plan for physical activity 2011-21.
