El Artista Hairdressing has been open under owners Tania & Mick Alsop since the year 2000. Their objective was to provide a professional salon, but with a fun and relaxed atmosphere where both clients and staff could enjoy their time in the salon. From humble beginnings as a two person salon situated at 44 Sturt Street the salon soon outgrew the premises and needed to relocate to a larger property in 2002.

Now situated next door at 42 Sturt Street, the salon has grown to what is now recognised as one of the top full service hair salons in Ballarat. Having been fully renovated and fitted out with the latest designer furniture, Tania and Mick have established a modern and striking looking salon that reflects their team’s very high standard of hairdressing.

Large stainless steel mirrors contrast with black furniture to provide a sleek modern look. Located at the rear of the salon are two basins, each comprising massage chairs which provide the ultimate comfort and relaxation. The salon also has one of the most spectacular views of Sturt Street, so you can sit, relax and watch the busy world pass you by.

As time goes on, El Artista will continue to evolve in order to meet the ever changing needs of the salon’s number one priorities – its valued clients & staff
