Introducing Australia’s premier multicultural celebration, the Annual Islamic Eid Show (A.I.E.S) - a family friendly event, which entertains the varied and vibrant cultures of Australia.
As demonstrated in previous years, our award winning Eid Show is undeniably a success. In 2015, the A.I.E.S proudly accepted the Mission of Hope Australian Muslim Achievement Award for “The Event of the Year”.
From its humble beginnings as a fireworks display in 2004, the Eid Show expanded in 2010 to its current format: a bi-annual festival held on the Islamic celebration dates.
The introduction of amusement rides, varied food and merchandise stalls, together with all-day entertainment was a winning combination, with over 19,000 people attending the very first event.
The show has grown steadily over the years and now boasts as Sydney’s second largest ride event, with over 80 food and merchandise stalls and one of the largest fireworks displays in Western Sydney. The event now sees over 110,000 people from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds, including interstate attendees, who converge at the Bankstown Showground annually.

The year 2016 provided evidence to these efforts by hosting a very successful and popular event, allowing for greater recognition of our sponsors.

In 2017, we will continue to strive in providing a first class event for all. Our multicultural tasty food kiosks, exciting rides, fashion, children’s toy stalls, arts and craft, animal exhibitions, fireworks, entertaining family stage shows and games, roaming entertainment, friendly staff and volunteers all allow the commencement of this wonderful event.
Furthermore, the year 2017 is set to bring forth a first-time exciting expansion for the Eid Show. We will be expanding the show to our Melbourne fans! This is a new and exciting initiative which will prove to be enormously popular with our fellow Melbournian residents. The Eid Show will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds, a venue only 7km from Melbourne’s CBD. Following in the footsteps of the very popular Eid Show held in Sydney, the combination of this amazing showground, together with specialty stalls, amazing food and family entertainment, the Eid Show in Melbourne will prove to be successful and prosper in many years to come.
Everyone is welcome to take part in this wonderful celebration. The Annual Islamic Eid Show has earned its reputation as THE premier multicultural festival in Australia, with an expected 120,000 attendees this year.
