MUSICAL

In over 30 years as a professional musician I've worked in just about every facet of the music industry, from freelance musician in the pro club scene, to touring rock and country shows. During this time I've played EVERY style of music imaginable, in just about every kind of venue. e.g.

Weddings, parties, balls, 21sts, club dance bands, corporate function bands, pub party bands, restaurant bands and duos etc, etc.

Styles/interests include:

Jazz, Latin, Fusion, Blues, Folk, Classical, Country, Bluegrass, Classic Rock, Funk, Soul, Neo Soul, 50s Rock, 60s pop, 70s rock...and anything current that is well played and composed.



TEACHING

* I am a professional musician and teacher with over 35 years’ experience. I have taught 1000s of students AND GIVEN OVER 70,000 LESSONS in that time.

* I was co-owner and Manager of the well known and respected " School of Guitar Technology " at Liverpool for over 30 years.

* I have taught privately, at high schools, and at TAFE and Community centers.

* I have run group classes for retirees...... and advanced workshops for career players.

* I have formal music and teaching qualifications.

BA Music (with distinction)....Majors in Performance and Recording Engineering

* I have a current Working With Children Check

* I believe I am a naturally good communicator, with the ability to adjust my teaching style to the learning preferences of my students.

* Other music related skills include experience as a Recording Engineer, and Composer/ Producer.

* I have written and self published 6 guitar methods, from beginner to advanced level....
