The Drouin & District Race Club is located 95km south east of Melbourne at Matthew Bennett Park, Drouin. The highlight of the year is the Boxing Day Races, falling on Friday 26 December in 2014.

With BYO drinks and umbrellas permitted, it’s the perfect opportunity to pack the Christmas lunch leftovers and catch up with old friends in town for the holidays. Food and drinks are also available on the day, as well as TAB facilities and on-course tote, a big screen to watch all the action, kids’ entertainment, fashions on the field and more.

If you’re travelling from the city (eastbound on the Princes Fwy), take the first Drouin exit and turn right. If you’re travelling from the Latrobe Valley (westbound on the Princes Fwy), take the second Drouin exit and turn left. There is free car parking on-site, with overnight parking permitted. The township of Drouin itself has a population of approximately 6,000. While you’re there you can explore gourmet eateries offering fresh Gippsland produce, take in the beautiful countryside views or visit local galleries, antique shops and more. Venture a little further to the historic Trestle Bridge at Noojee, Toorongo Falls or Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort.
