David is an Architect who specialises in the field of heritage conservation. In this role he has completed a number of conservation projects and undertaken studies on several of the Territory’s most significant heritage buildings. He is a member of Australia ICOMOS, the International Council on Monuments and Sites; the National Trust of Australia; and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.
David has also written extensively on architectural history and on architecture in general. He is the author of Acclimatisation [architecture at the top end of Australia] looking at the history of architecture in the Northern Territory tropics: a publication that was awarded the inaugural Northern Territory Chief Minister’s History Award and an authority on Government Architecture in the north of Australia.
