If you are looking for local and international fashion, exquisite giftware, quality entertainment and mouth-watering cuisine, look no further – you will find it all at Collins Place.

Collins Place, when it was built in the early 1980s, was a piece of architecture well ahead of its time. Designed in part by New York architect I.M. Pei (also responsible for the glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris), this controversial building brought a little piece of New York to the ‘Paris End’ of Collins Street.
The magnificent retail, restaurant and leisure precinct of the complex was set into the middle of two towers, protected from the elements by a massive glass atrium-like ceiling.

Collins Place’s newest restaurant Pei Modern – a venture by award-winning chef Mark Best (Marque, Sydney), and the clever people behind MoVida, pays homage to the Famous New Yorker.
Over a century ago those with an eye for style labelled the top of Collins Street, the ‘Paris end’. This was due to a combination of the French Café style tables and chairs lining the footpaths, along with the chic fashion designers and tailors who chose to trade at this end of Collins Street.

Collins Place is located on the corner of Collins and Exhibition Streets and has retained the Parisian vibe, still providing Melburnians and Visitors alike with international and local fashion and food, gifts, homewares and services with approximately 50 stores all under the one roof.
