Charles Nicholas was the first hair salon to offer hair extensions and dreadlocks in Newcastle. After commencing trade in 1981, we soon became hair extension specialists and importers of quality hair into Australia. This coincided with an explosion in the popularity of dreadlocks, for which we developed our own techniques necessary to suit people of all hair types. We have continued to refine these techniques over the years to offer you the best quality service.

In the 90s, Redken and De Lorenzo hair products were introduced to the salon, since then we have extended our range to include Bio Ionic, GHD, Paul Mitchell, Dread It and Murray's. Or range includes specialty products for wigs of both human and synthetic hair varieties. We only choose the very best quality products and hair extensions to maintain our reputation and to make you look the best.

Despite specialising in hair extensions and dreadlocks, our award-winning team excels at conventional and unconventional hair cutting, colouring, retexturising and styling.
