If you like Vietnamese rice paper rolls then you will love Bánh cuốn too.
Bánh cuốn (or known as Steam Rice Rolls) is an authentic Vietnamese dish coming from North Vietnam. Making fresh bánh cuốn is a slow and labourious process where each roll of the Bánh cuốn has to be made individually and the pouring of a flour batter over a steamy surface.
Our History (Story)
Our beloved mother Kim Thanh enjoys cooking this healthy meal for our families and friends for over 15 years. Through word of mouth, she is known by friends and people in our community as the Bánh cuốn lady and this became her signature dish. Mum then started to make Bánh cuốn at request and due to popular demand, in 2014 we had to open a store to cater for Bánh cuốn craving people!
We are grateful that mum has handed over this recipe to us. To honour her, we have named the business under her name as Bánh cuốn Kim Thành. Our goal is to introduce mum's signature dish and our Vietnamese authentic meal to the rest of Australia.
