Australian Rainbow Trout Farm 4.67

The Australian Rainbow Trout Farm is located one hour from central Melbourne, and ten minutes from Emerald in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges.
Catch plate size rainbow trout, or 1 - 4 kg whoppers in our graded ponds!
It has never been easier for all members of the family to catch a fish!
Try your luck and skill in our lightly stocked lake, or just enjoy a leisurely day around the banks of the lake.
Enjoy cooking up your catch on the BBQs, or picnic in our beautiful park setting!


OPENING HOURS
We are open every day of the year (except Christmas day) from: 10:00am to 5:00pm – Please note that the lake closes at 4:00pm, and all fishing stops at 4:30pm.


THE ENTRANCE FEE
The entrance fee covers the use of the park fishing rods, bait, assistance with catching your fish if necessary, and the use of park facilities, including the use of our gas barbeques, shelters and playground area.
You may also get your fish cleaned (gutted) for FREE, if required.
The admission prices are as follows:
Adults $7.50
Children (14 years and under) $6.00
Children (3 years and under) $Free
Pensioners $6.00


FISH OUT PONDS
The Fish Out ponds hold fish graded into different sizes:

Plate size rainbow trout (average weight 500 grams) at $17.50 per kilo.

Jumbo rainbow trout (over 1.0 kilo, average weight 1.5 kilos) at $20.00 per kilo.

Brook Trout (average weight 500 grams to 1.5kg) at $20.00 per kilo

Golden Trout (average weight about 1.0 kilo) at $20.00 per kilo.

Atlantic Salmon (average weight 1.5 kilos) are also available to catch at $25.00 per kilo.

Extras: filleted for $4.50 per fish, sashimi for $6.00 per fish, cutlets for $4.50 per fish .

Remember - You pay for all fish caught. No throwing back!

All fish prices are for live weight.



THE LAKE
If you want more of a challenge and perhaps a leisurely afternoon, try our lake. This is more lightly stocked than the ponds, and can use your own fishing gear.

Fish caught here are $17.50 per kilo.


FRESH FISH
Fresh cleaned fish are available but expect a short wait. They are netted and cleaned after you order.


DAM & POOL STOCKING FISH
Trout thrive in swimming pools (over the winter period) and in farm dams. Live fish of a variety of sizes are available for stocking. Please discuss your requirements with any of our staff.


KIOSK
The kiosk is also stocked with ice-creams, chips (crisps, not hot chips), confectionaries, drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic), barbeque, and picnic supplies.
Please check in at the kiosk upon arrival.


THE GAMES ROOM
We have a games room available next to the kiosk, it is an OPTIONAL extra. The room comprises of seven pinball machines, a SEGA rally car game, Cyber Cycles (motor bike racing game), Point Blank 2 (shooting game), an air hockey table, a pool table, and a Foos ball table!

Play all of these UNLIMITED for only $5.00 per half hour, per person.


MINI GOLF
Maccy Mini Golf is also an OPTIONAL extra. The course consists of 18 holes, each differ in difficulty. To get an idea of what the course looks like, please refer to our photos.
Once you have paid your admission to the mini golf, you are supplied with a mini golf club, golf ball, a Maccy Mini Golf score card, and a pencil.

The price of the mini golf is as follows:

Children $5.00
Family $20.00
(Please note the family pack includes only, two adults, and two children)


GROUPS
Why not bring your club or school to the farm for an outing? We offer a special program for groups, including an instructional tour of our facilities if required.

THE CHANNELS AND PONDS ARE DEEP. PLEASE TAKE EVERY CARE WITH SMALL CHILDREN AND PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.


THE BIRDS AND ANIMALS AT THE FARM ARE HERE FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT. PLEASE TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT AND ENSURE CHILDREN ARE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES.
