My name is Peta Warby and I am the Director of Austplan General Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd.

I am a fully Qualified Practicing Insurance Broker (QPIB) and am on the register of Professional Insurance Brokers with NIBA (National Insurance Brokers Association). A QPIB is a fully qualified broking practitioner who has attained a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and has over 5 years’ experience as a broker. All QPIBs participate in mandatory ongoing training so we keep our skills and knowledge up to date with the changes in the industry to be able to give tailored advice to suit each and every one of you as an individual as well as a business. I was also selected as a one of Queensland’s Young Insurance Professionals (YIP) to undertake QBE’s eQuip “National” Elite Young Broker Development Insurance Program in 2009.

- Relationship – unlike other brokers or direct market insurers I want to build a relationship with you, I am not going to just call you up when your insurance is due or to chase you for payment of that insurance. I respect you choosing to be one of my clients and will give you my time, trust and honesty.
- Reviewing your tailored insurance portfolio; I will touch base with you throughout the year to see how you are going and whether we need to adjust your scope of coverage (you may have altered your business activities or bought / sold some equipment/ vehicles/property) or maybe have some new insurable interests on the horizon that I can assist with.
- Re-marketing your insurance policies at renewal; this is one of the most important things I can do for you. With the market being so soft is imperative that your policies are reviewed as there are continually new products on the market and enhancements to existing products and it’s important to me that you have the most appropriate insurance cover that is right for you and your business. It is important not to focus just on the price game as I don’t want you to lose coverage that is important to you.
- Claims –fundamentally this is the reason why you have insurance, from your initial advice of an incident until finalisation I will continually assist you & monitor your claim to ensure that it is being handled promptly & proficiently without causing you further undue stress or inconvenience.

I pride myself on always maintaining a very high level of Customer Service and believe it is still one of the most important qualities for any business to have and know that it’s actually something many Australian Businesses lack in all industries.
