Ashley Hoogesteger Accredited Practising Dietitian 2.08

Ashley completed her Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Tasmania and went on to complete further studies, graduating from Flinders University with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics. As a new graduate, Ashley worked at the Launceston General Hospital before taking an opportunity to work in the United Kingdom in a variety of areas such as mental health including working with people suffering anorexia nervosa and bulimia, as well as inpatient and outpatient work in a variety of hospitals which included work in gastrointestinal surgery, stroke, oncology and rehabilitation. Since completing a contract at the Launceston General Hospital, Ashley has opened up her own practice at Newstead Medical, providing nutrition support to people with eating disorders, depression, diabetes, coeliac disease, IBS, crohn's, weight management issues and other chronic disease management. Ashley is passionate about making nutrition support accessible for all and helping people make healthy changes in their lives.
