Al and Nicole's Renovations 1.39

Alex and I have been together for 4 years and (finally) after years of hard saving, have purchased our first property in the Darwin area. After years of renting in Darwin, we are elated to have finally bought our very own home for ourselves and our 2 year old son Ziggy to build many memories. No more inspections and incompetent NT property managers yay!!!!

Like many other families here in Darwin, we were heart-set on buying a house not a unit but also wanted to stay close to the city too. The predicament we were in was that the properties that we liked and that were situated in areas that we wanted to live in were few and far between and well out of our price range.

When we viewed this 3 bedroom elevated house in Ludmilla, although practically inhabitable, we were drawn to its large block, jarrah floorboards and the potential to transform it into our very own tropical dream house.

Although we are well aware of the intensive time and costs required for this renovation, we are so excited to embark on this challenging journey and have created this page so that our families in the UK and US are able to track our progress easily.
