Our Dive Club is what makes AOS such a fantastic place to be and work. Thursday nights see anywhere from 25-70 people heading down to Camberwell for a few quiet drinks, plan weekend dives and chill with so many other like minded people with the one life-changing skill in common – DIVING. With the BBQ on full, the kids running around and the gentle hum of everyone sharing stories, tips and a few opinions, it makes for a great laid back atmosphere to reignite the passion we all share.

Combine all that with our special presentations covering subjects as diverse as Spear-fishing, Cave Diving, O.S trips and Deep Wreck adventures, our Thursdays are always well attended and a happy place to be around.

Academy Of Scuba – is a PADI 5 Star IDC store covering the full gambit of all PADI courses and Specialties.

We also offer a full range of PADI Tec Rec, IANTD, TDI, and CDAA courses with some of Australia’s most highly regarded technical instructors.

We are lucky enough that our Dive Crew consists of some of the best instructors in the world, all of which specialise in their given area. Whether it be Cave, Side Mount, Deep, Wreck or Tri-Mix diving our instructors will take you through all the way and won’t stop until you reach the underwater goals you have set for yourself.

But let’s not forget where we all started... Academy Of Scuba also boasts an exceptional Open Water Instructional team second to none. Combined with a roster of highly trained Divemasters that go through an intensive (some of them would say excessive) internship our Open Water courses are limited to a ratio of 4:1 – meaning more one on one time in the water with your instructor. This will help you feel more confident during your course and prepare you for your underwater adventure to the highest of standards - far beyond international standards.
