A local Promotions agency showcasing fresh, authentic & original underground Tasmanian music & art... with diversity being a cornerstone of the transient nature of our island you can expect the unexpected at exclusive local venues & events with extraordinary local talent shaken not stirred with artists from far off lands. Emphasis on folk, electronica & hiphop genres...delivered straight to your face...book...hopefully causing u to involuntarily groove your way into one of the special corners of our very own "Avalon" & join us :)
...this concept is very fluid but am thinking i would like to start with a monthly club night which would be a great opportunity for artist's to promote & sell their work. A "Not For Profit" venture, would like to make most events free :) There are so many amazing world class artists in this little state and i've always thought it would be good to have an umbrella organisation that encompasses all Tasmanian artists that are looking for free promotion and distribution, not just locally but nationally and internationally. I know we have the talent... we just need to show the world that our famous Tassie produce is more than just fine wine and dining...My vision is a laid back, niche club (with some exclusive membership perks) based on the original 300 Club, a New York City speakeasy that was run illeagally by none other than my famous relative Texas Guinan!
Way before her time, the new 300 Club will help keep Texas' spirit, and the spirit of the rebellious prohibition era alive simply by being a venue of free speech and a platform for true artists to do what they do best.... dance and sing and serenade us to the new age....
