Auch nach der Europameisterschaft geht das Leid der Tiere in der Ukraine und vielen anderen Ländern weiter! Es steht das Interesse vor allem in der Ukraine, nicht mehr so in der Öffentlichkeit aber wir werden uns weiterhin für die Strassentiere aber auch deren Helfer die Volontäre aber auch den Tierheimen widmen und so gut es geht unterstützen. Aus Stop Killing Dogs hat sich auch die Organisation / Verein Wahro - World Animal Help and Rights Organisation gebildet der die Plattform der Bemühungen nicht nur für die Ukraine sondern darüber hinaus bildet.

Ursprungsleitbild:
Wir sind Tierfreunde, wir sind Fußballfans. Wir hatten uns auf eine tolle Fußball EM2012 gefreut – und wurden von den Organisatoren bitter enttäuscht!
Auch von den Sponsoren der EM hätten wir uns mehr Courage erhofft. Das Schielen auf Millionenumsätze hat sie wohl etwas von ihren ach so schön formulierten Firmenphilosophien abgebracht: Umweltbewußtsein, Nachhaltigkeit, soziale Verantwortung ...

We are friends of animals, we are friends of football. We were looking forward to amazing Football European Championships 2012- but we were bitterly disappointed by the people organizing it. We also expected more courage by the sponsors of the European Championships. Being greedy for millions of money made them forget their own company philosophy: environmental awareness, sustainability, social responsibility…


Irgendwann wird aus einzelnen Rufern in der Wüste ein Chor – und jetzt singen wir gemeinsam und werden plötzlich gehört.
Allerdings singen wir keine Schmählieder auf den Fussball, wir lieben Fussball – und darum sind wir auch so empört!
Wir protestieren gegen die anscheinende Unfähigkeit der UEFA, ein Fest des Fußballs zu organisieren, an dem sich ALLE erfreuen können.
Gerade die Ausrichtung der EM in der Ukraine sollte ein Zeichen der Unterstützung für das Land sein.
Reine Profitgier verursachte hier aber eine gegenteilige Wirkung.

At some point people, who are alone fighting for right find like-minded people - finally we are heard.
However we do not want to boycott the championships! We love football and we want to help the animals!
We are protesting against the UEFA and its apparent incompetence to organize a celebration of football that EVERYONE can enjoy.
Especially the arrangement of the European Championships in Ukraine should have been a symbol of support for the country.
Pure greed for profit generated an opposite effect.


FAKTUM IST:
Die UEFA hat zuwenig unternommen, dieses barbarische Schlachten zu verhindern. Ausreden wie „Wir mischen uns nicht in innere Angelegenheiten der Veranstalterländer" sind ein Hohn, erinnern dieser Tage stark an Aussagen diktatorischer Regime und brauchen wohl weiter nicht kommentiert zu werden.

THE FACT IS:
The UEFA did not do enough to prevent the barbaric slaughter. Instead excuses like “We do not want to interfere with the organizer´s business” is a mockery and this reminds us strongly of statements by dictatorships nowadays - we do not need to comment in further details.


WIR FORDERN:
- Ein Ende des Mordens
- Ein Engagement der UEFA für den Tierschutz im vollen Umfang ihrer wirtschaftlichen Möglichkeiten als Wiedergutmachung
- Ein couragiertes Auftreten der Sponsoren der EM gegenüber UEFA und Veranstalterland sowie eine tatkräftige Beteiligung an einer tierschutzrelevanten Lösung der Probleme vor Ort


WE DEMAND:
- An end of the slaughter
- UEFA´s engagement for animal protection in their entire volume of their financial possibilities as compensation
- An appearance with courage of the sponsors of the European Championships to solve the problems considering the animals
- A forgiving celebration of football 2012 for the enjoyment of ALL football fans.

Im Vorfeld der Fußball EM 2012 in der Ukraine werden dort gerade die „Straßen gesäubert“ und tausende Straßenhunde und Streunerkatzen grausam ermordet. Schockierend ist vor allem die Methodik, denn die Tiere werden lebendig verbrannt oder in Massengräbern lebendig begraben. Es gibt ca. 250 000 Straßenhunde und unzählige Streunerkatzen in der Ukraine, denen nun das Schicksal des bestialischen Massenmords droht.
„Töten im Namen des Fußballs, da wird Sport zum Mord. Das entspricht wohl kaum dem sportlichen Gedanken von „fair play“.

In preparation to the European Championships 2012 in Ukraine “streets are cleared” and thousands of stray dogs and stray cats are dreadfully killed. Most shocking are the methods they are using- the animals are burnt alive or buried alive in mass graves. There are approximately 250 000 stray dogs and stray cats in Ukraine, which are at risk of a brutal mass murder. “Killing in the name of football- sport can cause lethal damage. Unfortunately this does not correlate with the idea of “fair play”.
