Ayacucho is a city on the middle east of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina; administrative seat of Ayacucho Partido. The city is located on the banks of the arroyo Tandileoufú. Agriculture and ranching are central to the economy, along with agrotourism.NameThe town is named after the Battle of Ayacucho which took place on 9 December 1824.
