It's 2007 in London, and husband and wife team Brandon and Jen have been searching for the perfect burrito for 4 years. Nothing they find is as delicious or fresh as the San Francisco fare they longed for. Their answer? Start their own burrito shop! And Tortilla was born.

Ten years later, Tortilla still serves California-style burritos and tacos inspired by the Mission District "Burrito Capital of the World." It's Europe's largest fast-casual restaurant chain thanks to its fresh custom burritos.

The menu offers a range of authentic fillings and toppings such as chargrilled chicken, steak and barbacoa- beef that's slow cooked for hours until its fall-apart tender. Salsa is made daily in-house.

Part of Tortilla's popularity is due to it being "real food." Diners see all the ingredients, and can load up on toppings like avocados to get all the benefits of the freshest food around.
