Architectural Metal Works FZCO

The architectural envelope and interior construction division of Sobha Group in the U.A.E. was set up on 14th February 2006 with the establishment of AMW LLC in Ajman. On 19th September 2010, the Group established AMW FZCO in Dubai and both companies were merged together in 2011.

AMW is trusted for their experience in managing engineering, design, manufacturing, fabrication and installation of external architectural building envelopes and architectural interiors leaving their thumb print on iconic projects like Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Dubai Marina Yacht Club, Emirates Aviation College, The Dubai Mall, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City District One Show Village.

AMW is fortunate to have long term associations with committed key people who have decades of experience within this specialised industry and have significantly contributed in senior assignments on a wide array of architectural envelope projects such the DoKAAEP Abraj Al Bait Towers including the Makkah Royal Hotel Clock Tower, Burj Khalifa, the reconstruction of The Reichstag Building led by architect Norman Foster, the Warsaw Stock Exchange Building, the Elite Residence Tower (Dubai Marina), Tamkeen Tower Riyadh, Al Fardan Towers Doha, Scotch Hall Development Drogheda Ireland, Princess Tower (Dubai Marina), Burj Al Salam, Al Hamad Tower, Capital Gate Tower (Abu Dhabi), Yas Marina Hotel (Abu Dhabi) to name just a very few.

AMW is an integrated architectural envelope supplier. Through their services, AMW integrates itself seamlessly into the entire life cycle of their product, which can have expected life spans of more than 40 years. AMW offers services from design phase through to execution phase into the operation phase of a building, thus maintaining the value of their client's investment.

AMW engages on pre-construction service agreements through consulting clients during the design stages of a building, to the benefit of getting simplified interface details of the architectural envelope that are in accord with local and all critical international standards. During the execution phase, AMW engages with the supply of architectural envelope and interior materials. The full circle service during this stage comprises the specialist suppliers project management, design and engineering, fabrication and installation.

During the operations phase of a building, AMW engages in service contracts to maintain quality, functionality and value of the buildings architectural envelope throughout its lifespan. AMW consults on drawing up the content for the nature and frequency of maintenance works resulting in individualised service plans or follow existing schedules within the operations and maintenance manuals of a building.

"Getting Better" is the credo of AMW but it is also the commitment to their clientele to strive for continuous improvement on quality, timely delivery and the best value for capital expenditure. Owed to that credo AMW is naturally engaged in Research and Development (R&D). AMW's R&D department is in the final stages of completing the development and bringing to the market their own aluminium curtain wall, window and door systems, engineered and designed to withstand all testing to the highest applicable standards of the industry for curtain walls, windows and doors such as:

AMW is currently working on setting up a new facility that is tailored to suit. The new facility is a further boost to AMW's integration as well as a reflection of its commitment to the business. The facility will not simply cater for manufacturing requirements of the architectural aluminum, glazing and interior works but is having optimised industrialised process flows within, in order to support competitive pricing to the benefit of its clients. The layout concepts for this facility is based on flexibility in order to be able to swiftly act on AMW's demands for availability of sub-processes or components such as metal surface treatment or processed glass products.
