Hult Prize at American University of Sharjah 2.45

In partnership with President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Global Initiative, this innovative crowdsourcing platform catalyzes students to create and launch disruptive and catalytic social ventures that aim to solve the planet’s most pressing challenges.
Student teams compete around the world for a chance to secure US$ 1 million in start-up funding, to launch a sustainable social enterprise.
The 2017 Hult Prize "President's Challenge" is "Refugees - Reawakening Human Potential" and will focus on restoring the rights and dignity of people and societies who may be, or are forced into motion due to social injustices, politics, economic pressures, climate change and war. Participants will also work to restore the rights and dignity of those currently living in informal / illegal settlements. The aim is to reach 10M by 2022
The local competition gives the university's winning team the chance to bypass the general application round and fast-track into one of 5 regional finals in Boston, San Francisco, London,Shanghai, or DUBAI.
The event organised on campus provide teams with unparalleled opportunities and resources, as well as spread awareness on campus of a pressing global issue. Hult Prize is bringing the world's toughest challenges to schools around the world, and helping students solve them.
