Our Services
The Histopathology & Specialty Laboratory (HSL) will provide service to the region and help clinical physicians and institutions to provide excellent patient care.

Cytopathology: Cytopathology processes gynae and non-gynae cases. Many of the non-gynae cases are Fine Needle Aspirates (FNAs) and fluid cytology. HSL was the first in the private sector to introduce a Liqiud Based Cytology service for gynaecology specimens using the SurePath system which enables the clinician to request HPV typing as well from the same specimen (within 6 weeks period).
HPV typing is also done inhouse using the FDA approved Digene HPV Hybrid Capture® 2 (HC2) DNA Test.

Histopathology / Surgical Pathology: Surgical / Histopathology provides specimen processing for surgical/biopsy samples. An arrangement will be made for immunostains and other less frequently needed services such as immunoflourescence and FISH test for Her-2 neu.
