2006, London, UK: Interior designer, Shija Walia, masterminded a signature line of soft furnishings, with the help of her husband Jiten Walia. They proudly christened their start up Fabiia – a portmanteau of the phrase - ‘Fabrics of India’.

This beloved project grew exponentially, being placed at boutiques and department stores all over country. Eventually, it caught the eye of the media and was featured in over fifty design magazines and two TV shows in the UK, namely, BBC Two's Classical Star and the 60 Minute Makeover.

Looking to cover new ground, Fabiia shifted base to the UAE in 2014. Armed with a modern, sleek aesthetic, Fabiia’s specialist buying team now handpicks furniture, accessories and lighting concepts from a roster of established and emerging designers from Italy, France, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Turkey and the UK.
