Dubai Insurance Company was the first local Insurance Company to be formed in the UAE when it was incorporated in 1970 as a Public Shareholding Company. Thus, we mark over four decades since its formation by Decree of His Highness, Sheikh Rashid Al Makhtoum.

In the past 5 years it has grown in premium volume from under AED 30 mm to over AED 270 mm in 2011, and is among the top performers in terms of profitability.

In acknowledgement of its performance and outlook, AM Best has given Dubai Insurance a B++ (Good) rating with a Stable Outlook.
